Painter known for his contemplative figurative works depicting solitary human figures against monochromatic color fields. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Saint-Étienne, he currently teaches at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His works are held by Centre Pompidou, British Museum, and Barjeel Art Foundation.
